monklands camcorder club Home

Welcome to the Monklands Camcorder Club's Website.
We are a group of fourteen camera enthusiasts who gather every Thursday to make movies. We meet at the Buchanan Street Resource Centre in Coatbridge from 6pm-9pm and anyone is welcome to attend.
The club operates on three levels.
1 Thursdays evenings are generally used to discuss and advise members on problems of computers, videos, cameras and the final editing and preparation of edited films.
2 Club projects, over the years have been primarily community films. This is in the format of community activities such as fun days, senior citizens party, Burns Suppers, and quite a lot of meetings and fun activities for both mental and physical handicapped, be it adults or children. We also make promotional films fo charity or for business. We consider ourselves to be active members of the voluntary sector and therfore we will take on any projects to help others portray their work.

3 We are members of the Scottish Association of Moviemakers and we enter competitions as a group or individuals.
Every Thursday evening there is always somebody with a computer or editing problem ,and during the course of the evening the problems are usually ironed out, but ,if we can't fix the problems we usually know someone who does.
